How you can help
As our new website develops, we hope to share more detail about what we do, who we support and what impact we have. In turn, we can then share with you what help we need, and why. As of today (30 September 2017), some specific areas where CHA would welcome your help:
Donations: We have various income streams, but rely on donations and support from the general public. Providing 600-700 nights of accommodation for young people (via our volunteer hosts) is far safer than B&B, but we need to fund travel, toiletries & a member of staff on call 24/7.
Fundraising & events: As & when we put on an event or undertake a campaign, please come along/tell a friend or even help us set it up!
Volunteering: We have a variety of voluntary positions in CHA; the most well-known being that of ‘volunteer host’ with Nightstop Devon. We also have volunteer drivers, admin assistants, fundraisers and Trustee roles available.
Promoting: We are all over social media, but the more people we reach, the more we can generate interest and support. In short, please retweet, favourite or share our messages across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram - thank you.
